Saturday Light Wind Cruising

Winds have lightened up the last few days here on Maui and the north shore surf is almost nil. Lots of slogging at Kanaha yesterday unless you had very large sails (by Maui standards). It was supposed to be as light or lighter today but the thermal action must have done the trick to boost the wind speeds up a notch from yesterday. Don’t let the iWindsurf graph fool you. It was reading averages at 20 to 22 or so part of the time but I needed every square centimeter of my 5.7.

A bit of waist high wind swell breaking up at Camp One for some back side riding but that was it for wave riding. Still a really nice sunny day. Lots of slalom sailors out on the water tuning up for race season again. Snapped a few pics of the action after my session.
