Hookipa Photos from Yesterday

Trade winds bumped up a notch or two yesterday. After my session at Kanaha (marginal 5.3, some good waves) I headed up to Hookipa to check out the action.

Also got some video – first video I’ve shot since last November. So if I get some time this weekend I’ll do a quick edit and post that.

Looks like wind might hang around today then back off for another day or two. A cold front should push down on Sunday and usher in some strong winds behind it, corresponding with another gigantor swell. Could get extreme here on Maui early next week.

    Hi,
I was wondering if you got some shots , of the guy , on the orange sailed board, he was out there when it was too big. He was really good. There were three guys out , it was giant.
    Thank you.

What kind of sail? I got one shot of a guy on an orange Hot Sails Maui and I got a couple of shots of a guy on an orange Severne – both from Thursday though.
