Finally got a chance to get down to the north shore yesterday and check out the big surf. Stopped by Sugar Cove, then Baby Beach, then Kanaha. Most of the photos in the set below are shot from Baby Beach looking out at Spartan’s. Most people would call this outer Sprecks.
Hard to say how big it was since it was so far out, but I’m guessing 20 – 30 feet on the average sets and occasionally bigger. You can get a little bit of perspective from a couple of the photos with the tow in guys on the jet ski.
Stopped by Kanaha last just to see what it was like. Gotta say, I’ve seen it a lot bigger at Kanaha than what it was yesterday afternoon. Nobody out of course since the winds were way too light.
Waves are declining now and will continue to. Winds are still light and will be tomorrow too. Looks like we might get one day of trade winds on Friday before the winds go away again.
