The moment Maui’s wave hounds have been waiting for for the past several months has arrived. The north shore will wake up from its summer-time slumber with the arrival of a series of north swells through the weekend. The first north swell is expected to peak Friday night, then slowly diminish this weekend. A second north swell is forecast to arrive on Sunday, peak Sunday night, then slowly lower Monday and Tuesday.
Surf along north facing shores will be 1 to 3 feet through tonight increasing to heights of 4 to 6 feet on Friday morning, then rising to heights of 6 to 10 feet on Friday afternoon.

Yeah! WAVES – in the middle of summer! And more to come… just like they say in brochure…and that’s why we’re on Maui.
This afternoon was really nice, smooth and just so much fun to actually sail (real) waves again.
What’s the best place to get the swell forecasts from?
Best place to get the surf forecast IMO is the Hawaiian Surf Forecast:
