Catching Up

Sorry about the lack of updates. Here’s some snippets from my Twitter feed and Session Logs to catch you up on the windsurfing action here on Maui the last week and a half:
Sunday, July 19
Beautiful sunny day on Sunday for blasting around. Totally misjudged wind strength and rigged the 5.0 – shoulda been 4.5. Only small wind swell at Camp One.
Monday, July 20
Postcard perfect day for cruising on Maui. Perfectly powered 5.0 – pretty steady. Flat, flat, flat as far as waves go, only teeny tiny wind swell breaking occasionally at Camp One.
Tuesday, July 21
Super windy day, maxed out on 4.5. 4.0 would have been plenty. Had Uppers almost to myself for half an hour while everyone else was rigging down. Not much there mind you, a few sections of waist high wind swell to smack one turn on before going backside. Kinda fun, but gnarly conditions.
Wednesday, July 22
Rainy on the north shore, windy in Kihei
Thursday , July 23 – Friday, July 24
Light wind most of the day all over. Maui Windsurfing current conditions: gray, humid, muggy, calm, stagnant…
Saturday, July 25
Mostly powered up 5.3 after being initially light. Very flat.
Sunday, July 26
Erratic, up and down wind and a bit shify too. Anywhere from 4.5 to 5.3 depending on the moment. Pretty flat surf.
Monday, July 27
Still windy on Maui. Looked up and down so opted to stay home and work all day.
Tuesday, July 28
Wound out 4.5 at Sprecks today. Some wind swell, but I prefer the break at Camp One/Uppers to Sprecks.
More wind on tap through the next week.
